David Soult, class of 1989, was a 3 sport Varsity Athlete, competing for the Varsity Football, Basketball and Baseball teams. As a football player, he earned 3 Varsity Letters, and earned multiple awards, including 2nd Team All-League his Junior year and 1st Team All-League and 2nd Team All-City his Senior year. He still holds multiple football records at Oak Hills, including Touchdowns for a career (35) and tied for 1st in Touchdowns in a single season (23). As a member of the Varsity Baseball Team, Soult earned 3 Varsity Letters and earned many awards during his playing career at Oak Hills. He earned 1st Team All-League all 3 years he was a member of the Varsity team, and 1st Team All-City his Junior and Senior Seasons. After high school, he accepted a Baseball Scholarship to the University of Kansas.

Coach Shaut was the wrestling coach at Oak Hills High School from 1965 - 1974. Prior to coaching at Oak Hills, Frank was a high school state wrestling champion in his home state of New York. He was awarded a football scholarship to attend the University of Cincinnati. Not only did Coach Shaut play football at UC, he was also a member of the wrestling team - posting a 58-3 record. He is a member of the University of Cincinnati Athletic Hall of Fame. After college, Coach Shaut came to Oak Hills as a teacher and coach. During his nine year coaching career he won six league championships, four district championships and four city championships. His career was highlighted in 1974 when the team placed 3rd in the state and Oak Hills crowned an individual state champion. Frank has been named State of Ohio Coach of the Year and is a member of the both the State of Ohio Wrestling Hall of Fame and the Southwest District Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame

Jeff Schroeder was a 2002 graduate of Oak Hills who starred as a football player and track and field athlete. During his high school career, Jeff left his mark on the Oak Hills record books. He was a part of the school record 4x100m team and still holds the school record for the 300m Hurdles and 110m High Hurdles. In 2001, he was the GMC champion in the 300m Hurdles and the 110m High Hurdles, with a winning time that is still a GMC record. In addition, he still holds the GMC Hurdle record with a time of 14.0 seconds. In 2002, he defended his crown by winning both races again and was named the GMC Track and Field athlete of the year. Jeff was district champion in the 110 High Hurdles, 300m Hurdles, and anchored the District winning 4x400m relay. Jeff finished 5th place at state in the High Hurdles in 2002, was named 1st team All-State and still holds the 20th fastest High Hurdle time in Cincinnati History. As a football player, Jeff was a 2 way starter on the only playoff team in school history. He was a team Captain his Senior year as well as 2nd-Team All-GMC. In 2002, Jeff had 14 receptions in a game against Colerain. Following High School, Jeff went on to play football for Miami University where he played 152 straight quarters spanning three seasons. Jeff was nicknamed “the bulldog” by teammate Ben Roethlisberger for his tenacious play as a receiver. Jeff was an integral member of Miami’s success in the early 2000's, including their 2003 MAC championship and was awarded their “Tip of the Spear Leader” award.

Jim Schnur is a 1973 graduate who excelled in varsity football and varsity track at Oak Hills. Jim Schnur became Oak Hills first individual state champion when he won the 440 yard dash his senior year. Schnur was a school record holder in ten different events while at Oak Hills. He received several All City and All State honors during his career in track and field. He received All City honors in football his senior year. In 1973, Jim was awarded the Cincinnati Enquirer "Male Athlete of the Year". Jim continued his Football and track career at the University of Cincinnati, where he was recently inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame. Upon graduation from UC, Schnur competed on the USA national team. His highest world ranking was 4th in the Decathlon. Jim ended his career at the 1984 Olympic trials.

Jonathan Sweet was part of the 1990 graduating class of Oak HIlls. He was a 2 year varsity letterman in baseball and football. Sweet was named All-Conference and All-City for 2 season and was a part of a string of 8 consecutive league baseball championships. In his junior season, he was the catcher on the Oak Hills District Championship team, which finished the season as regional runner-up. That team was also the #1 ranked team in the state of Ohio and the only Oak Hills baseball team to be ranked in the USA top #25. Sweet was named team MVP during 1989.

Lauren is a 2007 graduate of Oak Hills where she was a standout bowler. From 2004-2007, she was a 4-Time GMC 1st-team All-Conference performer and a 2-Time GMC Bowler of the Year (06, 07). In 2007, she was named the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Player of the Year, as well as the Enquirer’s All-Star Team (06, 07). At the District tournament in 2007, she had the highest 3-game series out of all qualifiers with a 722, which placed her with the highest series heading into the state championship. She was a key member of the team, which helped the Highlanders to finish 6th at State in 2005 and State Runner-Up in 2006. In 2007, she was the inaugural nominee for the High School Bowling Sportswoman of the Year by the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Women’s Sports Associations.
Following graduation, she continued to bowl at a high level. She was the Greater Cincinnati Women’s City All Events Champion (09,10), as well as the Singles champion in those years. She is the current record holder for 3 events and has a highest-scratch 3-game series of 751. She was the Ohio State Women’s All Events Champion in 2011, as well as the Ohio State Women’s Double Champion, with fellow Highlander Hall of Famer, Michelle (Ostrowski) Abner. She was the Greater Cincinnati Women’s Singles and Doubles Champion in 2021 as well as the team scratch champion in 2022. She is a member of the University of Pikeville Athletic Hall of Fame and a 2008 National Champion.
